If you need to pick-up your rental car at the airport, make sure to leave a good gap between when your flight is supposed to arrive and the pick-up time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can change the pick-up time up to two hours before what\u2019s already scheduled. If that\u2019s your case, you can get in touch with us by phone, email or describe the change you want to make under the \u201cRequests\u201d field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Remember: Rentcars.com doesn\u2019t charge fees in order to modify your booking. However, when a change is made, there might be a price difference between the old and the new booking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That happens because car rental prices are dynamic (<a href=\"\">as we have explained before here<\/a>) and are adjusted according to the rental company\u2019s availability in the same way that plane ticket prices are. So, if you see a difference in the price, you already know why ????<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, if that\u2019s your case, how can you pay for the difference? This varies according to how you chose to pay your original booking:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>For <em>pay at destination<\/em> bookings: the new voucher will have the updated payable amount. You don\u2019t have to do anything else as the payment will be received by the rental company at the time of pick-up.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For<em> online payment<\/em> bookings: the difference should be paid by credit card or PayPal through our website.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_to_do_if_you_dont_know_when_youll_be_able_to_pick_up_your_rental_car\"><\/span><strong>What to do if you don\u2019t know when you\u2019ll be able to pick up your rental car<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If your trip was delayed or cancelled and you still don\u2019t know when you\u2019ll be able to pick-up your rental car, don\u2019t worry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now you can also get <strong>credits<\/strong> for the reservation you already paid online. In that case, the amount paid becomes a coupon you can use in the future when you\u2019re sure about the new dates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In that case, your current booking will be canceled and you\u2019ll receive an email with a coupon in the same amount you have already paid. All you have to do is use this coupon on our payment page whenever you need a rental car again \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For more detailed information about how this process works, get in touch! We\u2019ll be happy to answer any questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, if you chose to pay at your destination and also don\u2019t have a date yet, the best option is to cancel your reservation following the steps we\u2019ll describe below. Because nothing was paid, it\u2019s all good \u2014 all you have to do is make a new reservation whenever you\u2019re ready.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_to_cancel_your_booking\"><\/span><strong>How to cancel your booking<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To cancel your booking online, the steps are very similar to the ones we have described before. However, when you find the right reservation and click on \u201cSee details\u201d, there\u2019s another option called \u201cCancel reservation\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After that, you\u2019ll be asked to select and\/or describe why you\u2019re cancelling and then submit your request. For example, if you paid using your credit card, the refund will be made on the same credit card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please note that for bookings cancelled within one hour of pick-up time and date a 5% of the amount paid will be retained. Similarly, if you\u2019re not able to pick-up the rental car nor cancel your booking, the retained amount will be equivalent to one day of your full reservation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For a few rental companies, there are additional cancellation fees.
